Land & Reciprocity
I live, work, and create medicine on the sacred homelands of the Esselen Tribe of Monterey County. I honor the Esselen people as the original and ongoing stewards of this land, and I offer my deepest respect for their enduring presence, culture, and care of these mountains, waters, and beings.
My work with the plants is guided by the understanding that we each carry an ancient relationship with the Earth. My intention is to support people in reconnecting to their own inner wisdom and to the living world we all belong to.
In the spirit of reciprocity, a portion of all herbal offerings is donated directly to the Esselen Tribe to support their cultural, ecological, and community-led initiatives. This practice arises from gratitude — a recognition that tending right relationship with the land includes supporting the Indigenous people who continue to protect it.
If you wish to learn more about the land you live on and why land acknowledgments matter, you can explore this resource: https://native-land.ca
May our learning with the plants also deepen our responsibility to the land and to those who have always cared for it.

“Moni has a distinct and potent power: she blends childlike wonder & playfulness while deeply attuning to her inner-knowing to optimally support her clients. I have experienced her healing first-hand through her work directly with plant spirits — she speaks, “plant” language fluently! She is a master at bridging the plant and human world with ease, calling upon the energies needed to heal in the moment. When I’m in her presence, there is a calm and easeful trust, a playful invitation to dance with divinity, all wrapped within her beautiful capacity to heal with the plants. Her attunement is incredibly deep and her knowledge wide.
Caitlin Wild, Wilderness Guide & Wholeness Coach

Her devotion and skillfulness has deeply supported me and other workshop participants in developing an inspiring relationship with these plant teachers, for our individual and collective healing. The sustaining value of her offering is only matched by her joyous spirit, which makes the entire experience a total delight.”

Read about the most recent dieta I did in the Peruvian amazon with Noya Rao
In November of 2023 I dieted a tree called Noya Rao for two weeks. In my blog post I share about how I met Noya Rao in a dream before I even knew it existed in real life. I write about the potency of dreamwork during dieta and how it is one of the main ways the dietero can connect and learn from the plant that he/she/they are dieting.
